Why bother with a spare car key?
A spare is insurance. Losing your only key turns a R1,500-ish job into a several-thousand-rand all-keys-lost job. Get the spare made while you still have a working key.
Can you clone smart keys and proximity keys?
Most of them, yes. For the ones I can't clone directly, I add a second key to your car's immobiliser instead — same end result: two working keys.
How long does it take?
Usually 20–45 minutes. Cloning the transponder is the fastest path, and the cutter is portable so I can come to you.
Is the cloned key as good as the original?
Functionally identical. Same OEM-spec blade profile, same encrypted transponder data. Starts the car and operates all locks exactly like the key you came in with.
